MOODIE KEEPS STREAK ALIVE AT SPEEDWAY 51 POWERED BY THE AUTOSAVER GROUP

 

 

            Speedway 51 powered by the Autosaver Group celebrated the Memorial Day weekend in style featuring a great night of racing and a Memorial Day celebration second to none that even featured a fly over. Winners included Brendan Moodie, Dean Switser Jr., Jamie Heath, Bryan Wall, Alexis Call, Vanessa Brown-Savage, Scott Tucker, and Wally Henderson.

 

            The Perras Ace Hardware Tiger Sportsman continue to put on the show of the night each and every week as door to door racing is the norm. Mark Lanphere led the first 22 laps before Brendan Moodie raced by and cruised to his third straight victory. Lanphere held off a late race charge from Dana Calkins to secure the second spot. Mike Giroux and John Boutin completed the top five. Lanphere won the qualifying round.

 

            Dean Switser Jr. picked up the win in the Ace Fabrication Street Stocks, earning the hard fought victory over Jason Picard, Brett Rowell, Bunker Hodgdon and Thomas Merchant. Picard carried the checkers in the preliminary round.

 

            The A.B. Excavating Daredevils ran a pair of features Saturday night and newcomer, Bryan Wall took top honors in opener as he defeated a solid ten car field. Following Wall were Kyle Labounty, Garrett Labounty, Jesse Dunham and Parker Piper. The nightcap went to Alexis Call as she defeated Wall, Kyle Labounty, Josh Plumley and Hunter King.

 

            Vanessa Brown-Savage scored a pair of victories in the Twisted Tea Angels as she defeated Alexis Call, Courtney Bradley and Madison Giroux. The results were the same in the second round.

 

            Jamie Heath raced to the front early and then held off a hard charging Shawn Hood for his second win in the White Mountains Community College Cyclones. Chris Oulette, Matt Mason and Travis Moulton completed the top five. Heath also won his heat race.

 

            The Wicked Good Vintage Racers from Maine were on hand and put on a great show for the crowd. The Outlaw top five included Scott Tucker, Bob Guyon, Sid Smith, Ryan Chadwick and Arthur Hannaford. The Late Model finish was Wally Henderson, Caleb Willett, Norris Willett, Dean Grant and Brian Hughes.

 

            This Saturday night the North Country Ford Late Models return for Round #2 of their Series, racing for 75 green flag laps. Joining them will be the Northeast Mini Stock Tour, Tiger Sportsman, Street Stocks, Daredevils and the always popular Kids Pit Tour. Post time is 6pm.
