Street Stocks will be out in force this coming Saturday night for their most prestigious event of 2018, the Jake McDowell Memorial Classic, part of the Mom’s of Lancaster, Twin State Street Stock Series featuring a 75 lap main event on Autosaver Group night. It will also be the makeup event for the rained out Autosaver Group Fireworks Spectacular that was scheduled for Saturday night, June 30th.
Street Stocks from both Thunder Road in Barre and Speedway 51, powered by the Autosaver Group will converge on Speedway 51 for their longest grind of the season, which has a boosted purse plus points for both the Track and the Twin State Series. This will be the second of four races for the Twin State Series. Jeffrey Martin of Barre, Vermont won the season opening event at Thunder Road.
Joining the Caron Fabrication Street Stocks will be the North Country Ford Late Models, Perras Ace Hardware Tiger Sportsman, Claudette & Dean’s Place Daredevils, White Mountains Community College Cyclones and Lady Angels. There will be a meet and greet at intermission for the North Country Family Restaurant Go-Karters, and a giant fireworks display will cap off the evening. Post time is 6pm Adults are just $15, Seniors and Military personnel are $10, Teens 12-16 only $5, and Kids 11 & under with a paid adult are free.
