Speedway 51 is gearing up for the 2019 Karting racing season as they make plans for an exciting year of competitive Go-Kart racing. 2018 was the best year so far at Speedway 51, and the staff is preparing for an even better season in 2019. The phone has been ringing regularly as people are anxious to get as much information as possible so they can prepare themselves to upgrade their equipment, sign up a new racer to the program, and many business owners have been calling about track sponsorship packages. 2019 is sure to be a good one.
Several changes in staff will be affecting the 2019 Karting season as some key players have left the group. Those include Jack Call, Min Kennett and Pete Marshall have all stepped back from the program, but will be available as consultants to help out the new regime. Long time volunteer, Jessica Pelletier will assume the leadership role in 2019. Pelletier doesn’t foresee any major changes to the program except adding a few more races to the schedule. The program has run very smoothly since its’ inception and no real major changes are expected. Four divisions including Rookie’s, Junior Mini Pro, Mini Pro, and Pro divisions will all be returning in 2019.
