GRENIER RULES LATE MODELS AT SPEEDWAY 51 POWERED BY THE AUTOSAVER GROUP

Mother Nature tried her best to throw a knockout punch at Speedway 51 powered by the Autosaver Group this past Saturday night, but hard work by track personnel prevailed and the entire racing card including the Kids Pit Tour was completed. Winners on the night included Chip Grenier, Brendan Moodie, Kasey Beattie, Alexis Call, and Cody Leblanc.

       6-3 6

The North Country Ford Late Models had several new cars compete as they lined up for their 75 lap main event. Before the green could be waved Mike Kenison, second in points, shut down on the front stretch with electrical problems. It turned out to be a bad battery. When racing got underway, Chip Grenier jumped from his outside pole position and opened up a five car advantage over Bryan Mason and Corey Mason. The race went green to checkers with Grenier grabbing a career first win at the northern New Hampshire speedplant. Completing the top five were Brian Mason, Corey Mason, Quinney Welch and Mike Kenison. Grenier and Corey Mason carried heat checkers.

 6-3 2

Brendan Moodie did not let the $500 bounty on his head slow him down as he held off a late race challenge from Derrick Calkins to claim his 4th win in a row. Mike Clark, Bill Stebbins Jr., and Colin Cornell rounded out the top five.
