With the 2019 Winter Blast 100 less than two weeks away, pre-entries are coming in at a record pace as we approach the Saturday, January 19th race date. The track has been recently inspected a six inch crusty base has formed with another five inches of fresh snow on top. It looks like the best track you could ask for will be waiting for the huge amount of entrants expected. Sponsorship this year is being brought to you in part by White Mountains Community College, Mom’s North Country Powersports, Batch’s Kwik Stop, Optical Expressions Berlin from Berlin, Vt. and the Best Dressed vehicle sponsor, North Country Family Restaurant.
“I am extremely excited about Winter Blast 2019 as people have been registering and calling us about rules and other questions pertaining to the event”, stated Promoter, Dick Therrien. “Everyone that calls says they are bringing more than one car, some up to a half a dozen and that makes me a little nervous as we might have to park them on top of each other” laughed Therrien. Last year 103 vehicles lined up for the 100 lap grind, and this year appears to be one that will break last year’s record. So far entries have been received from every State in New England, plus New York. Many phoning with question are from Canada, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and North Carolina.
