The second ever Mike Beattie’s Riverside Speedway Blast from the Past II reunion sponsored by Beattie Enterprises of Lancaster, New Hampshire has added another racing superstar to the list of dignitaries for the Saturday, August 18th special event at Speedway 51 powered by the Autosaver Group in Groveton, New Hampshire. Along with all the racing legends from years gone by from the great old Riverside Speedway, Northeast racing legend, Dave Dion will be making a special guest appearance along with one of his historic Berlin City Ford, and Continental Paving Ford racecar, and hauler.
Track historian Steve Patnaude, and former racer Tim Russell have been hard at work signing up a group of racing veterans from yesteryear, and Patnaude will host the giant festivities throughout the evening.
Patnaude stated that “This event is the highlight of my season, and now that I am announcing at the track, the highlight of my career. So many of our stars are going to be coming to this night, and we will be honoring them and sharing some of the greatest moments in the Tracks history. Now that Dave Dion is going to be joining us, and having his car and hauler here makes it even better. I want to thank Shane Beattie and the Beattie family for helping us out with this mega event. Their dad, former Riverside Speedway owner, Mike Beattie, was a legend here as well and we all know he will be smiling down at us from above on the Blast from the Past I on August 18th.”
There will be many names recognized on that night besides Dave Dion. Some of them include George Stone, Aaron Bennett, Bradley Gooden, Sam Gooden, Mike Bennett, and a host of others just to name a few. Mark this event on your calendar, Saturday, August 18th at 6pm.
