ALL SYSTEMS ARE GO FOR WINTER BLAST 100
POST TIME 2PM AT SPEEDWAY 51
“All systems are a go!’ stated speedway 51 powered by the Autosaver Group promoter Dick Therrien. Owner Joey Laquerre and myself have made the final decision that we are running the Winter Blast 100 on Saturday, January 19th at 2pm.
“We have contacted all the local, regional and national weather services and according to those we checked, all stated that we will not see much if any snow until Saturday evening, we have based or decisions on their professional opinions and we are not turning back”, Therrien emphatically reported. “The track is beautiful and perfectly snow covered. The parking lot and pits are all plowed, and the final touches are being completed on the bleachers. It is going to be an incredible event. With over sixty vehicles pre-registered, and race vehicles coming from every state in New England, plus New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Quebec we are going to have a full house.”
“Our sponsors, White Mountains Community College, Mom’s North Country Powersports, Batch’s Kwik Stop, Optical Expressions, Berlin, Vermont, Around the Clock Auto Repair, North Country Family Restaurant and NEK Trophies are some excited about the race. Not only are they expecting a pit full of cars, but also a full grandstand!”
Pit gates will open on Saturday morning at 9am sharp, while the grandstands will open at noon. Pit admission is just $20, and drivers and riders pay a $25 entry fee each. There is no age limit for the pits, but no matter the age, children must pay the $20 entry fee, NO EXCEPTIONS. Grandstand admission is $12 for Adults, $10 for Seniors and Military Personnel, Teens 12-16 are just $5 and Kids 11 and under are free.
Speedway 51 is located at 78 Craggy Road in Groveton, New Hampshire. For any questions contact Dick Therrien at 802-274-8823, or e-mail him at email@example.com.
